Acupuncture
Using Traditional Chinese Medicine and Balance Method to diagnose and treat from an Eastern perspective. It is a great alternative to reduce inflammation, treat pain, and combine with other naturopathic modalities.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an Eastern Medical practice that is over 2000 years old. Classical medical texts date back with practitioners making notes of signs and symptoms, along with acupuncture protocols and herbal practices that have shown over time to obtain instant and lasting results.
In addition from my training from Boucher of Naturopathic Medicine and my Masters of Science in Acupuncture from Bastyr University, I have an additional two years of education regarding the The Balance Method, which is taught by Dr. Sonia Tan, BA, BA(H), DTCM Dip, DAOM, RAc, RTCMP. She is one of the few Certified Gold Level practitioners of Balance Method Acupuncture who was taught by Grandmaster Dr. Richard Teh-fu Tan.
Tan Balance Method is shown to have effective and instant results. This is a great modality that is combined with naturopathic principles for sports injuries, digestive, and hormonal concerns.
My go-to analogy about this method is referring it similarly to a family tree. The area of concern or pain is the injured meridian, which can be similar to family members, we communicate better with others, such as a sister, brother, uncle, aunt, or cousin rather than the individual who is injured. Through communication of other related channels, we are able to unblock the area of concern or pain. This is through direct feedback to the practitioner from the patient within minutes.
I am also trained with other methods such as Zang Fu diagnosis, Five Element Acupuncture, Hanaka Acupuncture, and more. As a practitioner I need to assess the patient in front of me, with all their concerns, symptoms, as a whole person and make the best medical recommendation of treatment to aid for that current session.
